Ribosome As A Book Publisher
a: Ribosome ~
b: a book publisher
What: I've seen all kinds of cell analogies on the web. There are some good and some not so good, even bad. Here's what popped into my head. A ribosome is like a book publisher. A book publisher brings many elements together to create a whole, that is a book. The ingredients for a book, are the content, the paper and the binding. These pieces are put together with a variety of machines like a printing press and collation devices. Likewise, a ribosome puts together many elements from a cell, mRNA, and amino acids to form a protein.
